Here at Iowa Lakes Organic Market we strive to make this YOUR store.
In that process we look for individuals or groups of individuals interested in helping the success of this
venture. With so much emphasis on sustainable agriculture and also food safety and health issues we find a real need for such
an outlet.
Fresh, local, chemical free foods are in great demand these days. The general public is demanding food we
can trust. Knowing where our food came from, who produced it and how it was handled on its way to our table is important.
Also the local farmer and artisan is looking for a central, year round outlet, were they can bring their product.
Farmers Markets and roadside stands are great but time consuming and seasonal. More farmers and artisans
would bring their product to market if they had an outlet.
Iowa Lakes Organic Market would give the local farmer a place to provide the consumer with what they want
– food they can trust from farmers they know.
Heather and I have been in business and management most of our working years and feel confident in the need for such a
store of this scale and magnitude.
I have managed a restaurant, owned and managed a beauty shop for 10years & now own and manage a Bed & Breakfast
for 12 years. Heather has been in customer relations and finance for the past 15-year, working at Spencer HyVee, Northwest
Federal and now at Tweeter's.
Heather & I have both attended classes at the area Community Colleges on finance, general bookkeeping & accounting,
advertising, investing, leadership & business development. Also attending numerous classes as they arose in areas
of varied studies.
Heather & I both have a track record to make this new business successful.
We know the success of this store rests a great deal upon the quality of product, it’s suppliers and consumer satisfaction.
We will strive to fill the needs of both the supplier and the consumer. Your comments and questions are always welcome
as that tells us what you wanted and thus the success of the store.
As we continue to bring this needed outlet to the producer and the consumer alike, we hope you will join us.
